AN UPDATE ON THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE

I did my best to stick with the 30 day challenge to encourage my husband. Nothing major happened but I think the main point for me was how important and how hard encouragement is. Encouraging someone else is great because it gets the focus off of you. And then there's the unexpected blessing we're promised in Scripture - if we lose our lives for His sake we will find them. The Lord blessed me with a renewed vision of my husband. Persevering in encouragement is the hard part. I found that the enemy really didn't want me to do this and he made it harder with certain temptations. But I'm convinced that's proof of how important it is to truly give of yourself in love to someone else. It's powerful. It truly is the more excellent way spoken of in 1 Corinthians 13.
