COUNTDOWN TO RACE DAY
Here's a precious picture of Logan (on the left) and my son Jonathan. This was taken last summer just days before Logan's first surgery. They were in the same Sunday School class last year and their teachers hosted a pool party for them at the end of the year. What a brave boy. I still can't believe he was there considering the major surgery that awaited him. His parents have done a great job in trying to keep his life as normal as possible. Last year I was a helper in 4th/5th grade children's choir and even though Logan missed some time during the year because of treatments, he kept coming back to sing. Our choir director was wonderful too. She made every effort to include Logan in choir and helped him as he lost some of his vision. The kids played the recorder and Logan had the music blown up to a bigger size so he could read the notes. When he was gone she had the kids make get well cards for him. Our church has been a great support for this family over the past year. I hope you have a support system like this too.
Blessings!
