THE JOY OF HOMESCHOOLING
These pictures were taken spontaneously one day. We were not "having school". My son loves Where's Waldo and can be caught at any time of day just studying those pictures. My daughter loves to draw and color. We checked out a book called Drawing Faces by Ed Emberley from our local library. She has gotten really good at learning how to draw from these books. In this picture she is drawing in her Hello Kitty notepad. My father-in-law will recognize the Amelia Bedelia book. He had some great laughs reading this book to my daughter a couple months ago. Remember that Dad?
One of the wonderful things my kids have learned from homeschooling is how much fun it is to learn! They have become curious, self-motivated learners and it has been such a blessing watching them grow this year.

The beauty of a family who loves to learn!
Your schoolroom looks great too!
We have a family library (it's what we finally turned our dining room into...something to consider!), and one of my greatest joys is to walk past and see the kids lying on the floor reading or looking at books. It's one peaceful moment, I tell ya!
:-)
Great pictures...Glad you had a good day and fun memories!
You're kidding right, Roberta? I'm hoping to do some sprucing up of that room and maybe it will look a little better by the end of the summer.
Karen, that's a great idea! Now I just need to get the bookcases, right? I also love to see the kids sprawled out on the floor reading.
actually I'm not kidding. It looks like a place people love to learn. :) That and I am a bit of an eclectic clutterbug (that's a nice way to say it anyway) so your school area looks much more orderly than mine would. And next year I think having a schoolroom area is a really good idea.
