5.6...BUT I THINK I HURT MYSELF!
The running had been going very well until late last week. A week ago Monday I felt so great that I ran extra after my running buddy and I said goodbye. I thought I could go forever! I ended up going about 5 1/2 miles, the longest I'd ever run, and when I got home I had the infamous runner's high. I felt like I could do anything!! It was great. I took the day off the next day and then ran the next four days in a row. About the middle of those four days I felt a twinge in my left ankle but kept running. That was a bad idea. I haven't torn or broken anything, but my husband is adamant that I stop running until it feels better. It's killing me not to run and I guess that means I like running, huh? I started out running because I knew that would be the part of a triathlon I would dislike the most. I quickly disproved that theory. I think I can officially call myself a runner. I can't wait until this ankle heals up and I can get back on the road.

Meredith,
Wow! you really have taken to the running! It is good that your husband is looking out for you and encouraging you to rest. Maybe it is for a little extra "reading" time? :)
Karen,
Reading is definitely on my plate too. I'm hoping to post soon about my latest book sale finds!
