It is sooooo heavenly good! It's a chocolate spread with hazelnut flavoring. When I was in Belgium in 2004 they had it out like any other condiment such as butter. It's great on croissants and my kids have been eating it on banana bread. It is a little expensive in the store but great once in a while for a treat.
How are you doing Karen? Sorry I haven't had the chance to come and visit in a while. How long until the big day?
Oh Yummmm!!! I first heard of it when I was 15, and was at a neighbors house, visiting a friend who was a foreign exchange student from Germany. I thought "Gross! Chocolate on bread?!?" Then when first married at age 21 Adam and I lived in England and we grew to LOVE it! I still say don't even bother with the bread, you just need a spoon! or in desperation just dip your finger in the jar! ;) Warning Karen: It's addictive! (If you LOVE creamy milk chocolate with hazelnut that is.)
Okay, you two. I just might have to try this, then. And yes, of course I love chocolate. And hazelnuts...YUM!
I'm doing well, Meredith...just pluggin' along. I still have quite a ways to go...I'm not due until April. *sigh* But everything looks good and healthy, and the child NEVER sleeps, so I know that she has lots of energy. Mercy! :-D
I will put Nutella on my grocery list for the next month, and report back my findings!
My dad sent me a jar when I was young. It is good. Yes I used my finger a few times too. My oldest daughter just walked by and asked what are they dipping their finger in? I said Nutella. Her reply, "OHHH, I love it and I used my finger too." I think she had some with my Mom.

Okay, is it REALLY that good? I have never bought it...it always looked a bit "off" to me.
Tell us about it!

LOL! Roberta. I dip my finger in the jar too. I haven't been so bad as to use a spoon...yet.
