DID YOU SEE THAT!!!!

OK, you might as well know this about me - I watch golf on TV. I don't even play it really. But there's something about professional sports, even golf, that I find fascinating. And yesterday's Master's Final was about as exciting as it gets. It's very interesting to watch these men under pressure and see how they react to it. Tiger Woods and Chris DiMarco were both going for it yesterday. Chris had never won a major, but has come close (shades of Phil Mickelson before last year) and Tiger was going for his fourth green jacket but hadn't won a major in three years, which for him is not good. No other player has been held up to such a standard as Tiger Woods has since he won for the first time in 1997 at the age of 21. And IMHO there isn't anyone who's mentally tougher in all of sport. And I've never seen a sweeter shot than what he played yesterday on the 16th hole. Kudos to Chris DiMarco for staying tough and forcing a sudden death playoff. If I had been in his shoes, I probably would have quit right after seeing that ball drop into the cup after sitting on the edge of it for a full 2 seconds!

So, is anyone else going to admit to seeing it? Here's another little confession - when I was young I used to watch professional bowling! I was a sports TV watching junkie.

No TV reception. However, my husband says, "if it has a screen She'll stare at it." It's the truth. And to prove the point here I sit staring at my computer screen.
Glad to here you son is recovering well.

Sorry, didn't see it. We met my parents for an early dinner and they were a tad late as the golf game, tournament, match...was so intense. They had to tape the end!
Just yesterday at church I was talking with a friend's husband on the way out and said "I'm trying to be a deep thinker but I grew up on the "Muppet Show"! A TV junkie I was, not so much sports though.

Okay..Oops! I have no idea what happened! My internet filter said I could not post a comment, I think because of the word "junkie". So I quickly turned off the filter and posted it to discover THREE! :) Sorry!
Oh, and I see I did not say who wrote it so I could remain anonymous, but as an honest Christian it was me. ;)

Nope, sorry! Wish I could relate! ;-) But I did read (briefly) the highlights, and my oldest son was trying to memorize them. :-)

Have a great day!

Of course I'll be your friend Ruthanne! LOL! One of the other reasons I watch is because it creates a whole lot of conversation with my parents, especially my father. (Don't get me wrong, I do genuinely enjoy watching it, but only the major championships.) They recently moved to a golf community and will be playing a lot during their "retirement". One of my dreams/prayers is that one day the Lord will open a door for my parents to be able to go see the Masters in person.

What was funny after that shot that Tiger made on the 16th is that I immediately called my parents and I was going to say, "Did you see that shot!" as soon as they picked up the phone BUT as soon as they answered my mom stole my thunder in that instead of saying "Hello!" she said, "Did you see that shot?!" We were ROTFL obviously and it creates a bond with my parents that I wouldn't otherwise have.

Lis, I have the same temptation of just staring at the screen. I ask my husband to keep me from staying up late by myself for that reason.

Roberta, I loved the Muppet Show growing up. I definitely was a TV junkie too.

Blessings.

Of course we saw it!!!

Watched the golf for days.

What a fabulous shot by Tiger. Amazing!

My boys golfed the other day and they tied with 39 a piece. (on nine) That's a good score for them :o)
