SPIRITUAL POLYGAMY
(Please read the previous post for background.)
Why am I "married" to a method, or my theology, or my philosophy? To whom am I married, ultimately speaking?
"And I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in compassion, and I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. Then you will know the Lord." Hosea 2:19-20
"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor?" Romans 11:33-34

Oh, I just need to "selah" that verse from Romans...so good.
Good words. I'm rejoicing with you in God's great work in your life! He alone is good.
Karen,
What do you mean when you say you need to "selah" that verse?
By the way, have you ever listened to Steve Green's CD about the morning? I forgot the exact title but all the songs are about waiting and listening to God's word and there's an instrumental piece on that CD called 'Selah'. It's beautiful. I'm a sucker for good oboe playing.
Yes MamaK, I too was wondering what"Selah" means? Is it one of those musical terms in Psalms???
Meredith, I have been reading your blob for a while now. I completely identify with your prayer, "May my words be few and may they be of You." I find myself praying something similar (but not so poetic, I might add) quite often these days. This might also explains why I haven't left any comments until now.
Bless You
Meredith,
That passage in Hosea is one of my FAVORITES. Some beautiful beautiful allegorical stuff in there...
Great post.
Btw, I finally (finally!) got your link up... :o)
